I’m Tara, a Wisconsin-born girl who’s been photographing meaningful moments for thousands of people for over a decade, and at this point, let’s just say I’ve been doing this long enough to know what matters. I’m not here for trends, algorithms, or viral moments. I care about creating honest, joyful, timeless images that feel like you.

I’ve learned to balance observation with direction, knowing when to step back and let a moment unfold, and when to step in and help it along. Reading the room, sensing the energy, and weaving together guidance when needed is something I’ve refined over many years. It’s a balance I’m proud of, and one that allows me to tell your story with both intention and heart.

Summer on the Wisconsin River, long lunches with my girlfriends, cookies, music of all kinds, traveling, yoga, boats, wine, parties, and dogs—so many dogs. I’m a huge animal lover and always encourage clients to bring their furry best friends along.

Connection is everything to me. I love getting to know the people I photograph and creating sessions that feel relaxed and fun. I’ll guide you, hype you up, and share all my tricks so you never feel stiff or unsure in front of the lens.

I live in Wisconsin Dells with my husband, Justin, and our daughter, Reagan. After 20 years of owning our downtown restaurant, we sold it and followed our creative paths full-time. Hospitality runs deep in our blood, between the restaurant and my photography career, serving people with heart has always been our thing.

We’re now dreaming up plans for a studio on our forever property just outside of town, and it feels incredibly special to design a space that reflects everything I love about this work.

I’m Obsessed with dogs. I wish I could have 10 and feel like I can talk to them in my dog whispering ways. We have a crazy yellow lab and a sweet rescue Chiweenie!

I have a crazy Sweet-tooth. Getting to try all the wedding cakes in the world has definitely been a job-perk:)

I am in love with the water. Boating, kayaking, beaching, basically anything that involves water makes me happy!

My little family means the world to me. We tried for years to have children and were blessed to be able to adopt our daughter 8 years ago, and she is the light of our lives.

My husband and I owned a restaurant for 20 years, and sold it in 2025. My husband is a chef and we are both total foodies.
