The blog deserves a wake-up and there’s no better shoot I could choose than Bridget & Ethan’s sweet hometown engagement session.
I was happy to get out of the Dells for the evening and travel a half hour north to Arkdale, Wisconsin where Ethan’s family has the most beautiful farm. We shot all around the property, got to go up in the hay bale, and I got to meet the family, including Ethan’s grandpa.
I loved that Bridget had a bunch of ideas for the shoot, including an old vintage bike that was so much fun to take photos with. It was awesome to shoot in a new location in the middle of my busy season. I felt so rejuvenated and inspired afterward!
Ethan works in the agricultural world, Bridget is a health and wellness coach and they met at the county fair… I mean how freaking cute is that?! Ethan and her have been courting for the past 2 years and for these two, the word ‘courting’ is so fitting! Ethan reminds me that chivalry is alive and well. Such a good hearted, down-home guy. They are getting married exactly one year from today.
These two had great ideas, great outfits, amazing chemistry, and we had beautiful light that night. I know I’m going to sound like a sap, but as I drove away that evening coming back home, I had such a feeling of thankfulness that I get to have this little part in people’s lives and capture moments like these that they will have forever.
