Spring has to be my absolute favorite time of the year to shoot! All of the plants and trees are finally back to their vibrant green and everything has this feeling of new life. Anna and Josh’s wedding at Chula Vista Resort was the epitome of a spring wedding. From their lively wedding party, to the dancing at the end of the night, everyone had a great time celebrating this awesome couple. These guys really know how to party!
I’ve shot over 200 weddings and never have I seen such unique bridesmaid dresses! They were feminine and floral and complemented Anna’s David’s Bridal gown perfectly. It was really light and flowed so freely that I just wanted her to keep twirling around and around in it! Anna and Josh are a really sweet couple. And I kept looking at Josh thinking how much he looked like Aaron Rodgers (and being a bears fan, I’m not sure how he liked that!) You can see that they both are incredibly loved by their friends and family, just look at the size of that wedding party!
The weather for the day was predicted to be cloudy, so we really lucked out when the sun came out!! Having the wedding ceremony outdoors at Chula Vista was a great decision for them. The outdoor ceremony space is surrounded by tall oak trees that create a sense of intimacy for the couple and their guests. The big white reception tent is basically a blank slate for couples to do whatever they want with. I love this outdoor ceremony/reception space and the beautiful greens of the Cold Water Canyon golf course that surrounds them. It’s really awesome to see Wisconsin Dells being chosen as the ultimate wedding destination. Since the lodging, ceremony and reception can all be held in the same spot you don’t have to worry about transportation between events or driving home at the end of the night. Plus the guests get to stay nice and close to all of the action, making it easier to party, let loose and enjoy each others company! Congratulations to this beautiful couple and bring on spring! I think we are all ready for it!
