I love going through my sessions from this past season in January….it’s like I need to remember the colors and vibrancy that Wisconsin has when we are in a white out. And one of my faves was Tess and Mikal’s engagement session.
These two met at Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin where they were both involved in sports and after hanging in the same friend group since they were freshman, Mikal finally made a ‘move’ junior year and asked a mutual friend to find out if Tess thought that he was cute! After Tess confirmed, lots of movie dates (The Breakfast Club was one of the first) and a May term spent together, the rest is history!
The couple will be the first two to tie the knot at Vennebu Hill event and wedding venue this spring which I am so stoked about! This Norwegian style, rustically inspired, brand new venue is right in between Wisconsin Dells and Baraboo, and was Tess’ grandparents land so it hold an extra special place in her heart. We shot the first set of photos here, and the land here and the VIEWS are beautiful. There’s nothing more picturesque taking fall engagement shots and there definitely wasn’t a shortage of authentic love to capture either. I wish them nothing but happiness and I am so excited to capture their wedding this spring!
