Yesterday’s snowfall totally reminded me of Sara and Bing’s beautiful winter wedding at St. Joseph’s and the Wild Rock at the Wilderness and I HAD to get it up on the blog tonight to share with you all! This was my last wedding of 2016 and it was the perfect kind of wedding to end the season with. This couple is SO gracious, sweet, genuine, humble and over the moon in love with each other.
Sara and Bing met in graduate school at Edgewood and that is where their love story began. Bing is from China his parents and aunt were here for the wedding and it was their first time in America and to see the respect and love they have for their son and for Sara was so touching.
I met the girls at one of my favorite places ever – Spa serenity in downtown Baraboo where they were just finishing up their hair and make-up and we headed over to the church to get dressed and do their first look. The snow had just started coming down as we were leaving to shoot portraits and gave the photos such a perfect winter glow to them but I was so happy that I had an umbrella too to keep Sara’s hair looking perfect:) I had scouted a few places and was LOVING the natural light in the Sauk county court house and then we also shot at the Baraboo diner – which was perfect because that is where they had their rehearsal dinner at the night before!
We then headed to the church for a beautiful ceremony and then over to Wild Rock golf course at the Wilderness for the reception with a night full of meaningful toasts, hugs and lots of happy tears. AND it was also Bing’s birthday too so everyone was really ready to party:)
Bing’s cousin also sang the John Denver ‘take me home country roads’ at the reception….gave me chills. And then Sara and Bing’s first dance was one of my ALL time favorite songs by Sara Bareilles’ “I Choose You’ – the same song that was playing when Bing proposed. I was totally tearing up. And didn’t want to leave that night. Beyond blessed to call this my job and capture these moments for couples as amazing as these two.
Also a special shout out to Katie Senger of Treasures Beyond Time Photography as my second shooter for doing a phenomenal job. And onto all the pics:) Enjoy.
Sara – you are beyond stunning!
One of my ALL TIME favorite bride and groom shots.
Let’s get these two hitched!!
She just got done singing John Denver’s ‘Country road’ ….and TOTALLY rocked it.
