Kelsey & Travis, two amazing people with the most beautiful wedding day, I was blessed to be able to capture it. These two have become close friends of ours over the years, and it’s always a blast knowing almost everyone in the wedding party! (Both of the best-men were my childhood neighbor best friends!) It was a perfect spring day with a light breeze and no chance of rain! Some of my favorite bridal portraits ever were taken – gorgeous natural light and big windows, it was the perfect place for getting ready photos – especially with the cherry blossoms blooming just outside. And talk about a beautiful wedding dress – it fit like a glove and Kelsey looked absolutely stunning!
We headed over to Baraboo where the couple tied the knot at St. Joe’s Catholic church, Father Eric did an amazing job and it was sentimental, funny and sweet all at the same time. After the ceremony, we stopped at Kelsey’s family’s property – there were beautiful views, rolling green hills, an industrial looking barn, and the most perfect light. The wedding party was so freaking funny, I felt at home and had such a great time capturing all of the laughs. (And SO pumped to be headed to Nashville this fall with a bunch of this same crew – we might have to do an impromptu shoot while we are there girls!!)
The reception was held at the Glacier Canyon Lodge at the Wilderness and the sleek modern drapes completely transformed the room, it was so pretty! So many great personal touches including a caricature artist, ice cream cake and even dog treat “pawty” favors – so cute! (These two are totally on the same dog-love language as I am, you can see tons of sweet pics of their pup here.) It sure was one heck of a party! I danced my butt off along side half of the town and it was a night I’ll never forget. Love you both and so so happy to have watched such a beautiful union – here’s to many years of love & friendship!
